Private Event: Introduction to Snorkeling w/ Sugar Sand Meet Up
Wednesday, October 8, 2025 | 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Participants will be provided with an introduction to snorkeling in the shallow, protected turquoise waters of Dubois Park. The event will begin with a review of snorkeling equipment and safety procedures followed by a snorkel down the “lazy river” of the adjacent mangrove area. During the tour, a marine biologist will locate and identify marine life for the group.
Children must be at least 4 years old and strong swimmers to participate.
Participants must provide their own mask and snorkel as there are no rental facilities at the park. Fins are not permitted as they often become a safety issue in large groups and affect water quality in the shallow waters of the mangrove lagoon.
Parents must accompany and supervise children under 13 years of age as a safety precaution.
Saltwater Studies will provide snorkel vests for all participants to wear during the event.
All children attending the class must be registered students. Siblings of any age may not accompany registered students to these events.
This is a biblically-based event.
