Sea Shell Field Trip

What to Expect: Students will be provided with an overview of various species of snails and clams that can be seen in South Florida waters. Following the discussion, students will be divided into groups of three to four and use age-appropriate field guides to identify a number of South Florida sea shells. Following the activity, we will head to the beach to search for our own sea shells. Students may keep any sea shells that they collect from the beach.

Who Can Attend: All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent.

What to Bring: Participants must bring their own water and snacks.

Where to Meet: Participants will meet next to the playground at Dubois Park (19075 DuBois Road, Jupiter, Florida 33477).

Cost: $25 per student
Expenses: None. There is no park entrance fee.
