Key Biscayne Snorkel

  • Bill Baggs State Park (map)

Snorkel Skill Level: Beginner

This field trip is a biblically-based, basic guided snorkel that will help participants learn how to identify various species of reef fish and become more comfortable snorkeling in the shallow waters off Key Biscayne. Participants will learn about the basics of fish identification and then be led on a snorkel in the beautiful blue waters next to the Cape Florida Lighthouse. All participants must be comfortable in the water and able to swim. They must also have their own snorkeling equipment. It is recommended that snorkelers wear water shoes instead of snorkel fins as swim fins are not allowed on this tour due to safety concerns. Participants will meet in Bill Baggs State Park next to Beach Entrance #7, which is the beach entrance just north of the lighthouse. Bill Baggs State Park is located at 1200 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149.

Cost: $20 per person
Expenses: There is a park entrance fee of $8.00 per vehicle (2 to 8 occupants). Cash or credit/debit card can be used to pay this fee at the park entrance.
