Fish Identification Field Trip

Get ready for snorkeling season by brushing up on your fish identification skills! Participants will be provided with an overview of basic identification methods and common marine fish species seen in South Florida. Participants will be provided with field guides and worksheets to assist them in identifying various reef fish. This is an excellent introduction to species identification and is highly recommended as a precursor to the Saltwater Studies’ snorkeling field trips. Participants will be provided with all necessary materials for this field trip. Participants should bring their own drinks. Food is not allowed at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center so please plan accordingly. Participants will meet in the parking lot at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center (1801 North Ocean Blvd. Boca Raton, FL 33432).

Cost: $20 per person
Expenses: Gumbo Limbo Nature Center charges a $5 per person entrance fee. Cash will be required to pay this fee upon entering the Nature Center.
