Meeting Location

Meeting Location: Blowing Rocks Preserve, 574 S Beach Rd, Hobe Sound, FL 33455. We will meet in the east parking lot at the boardwalk entrance leading to the beach.
Parking Fee: None.
Facility Amenities: Park amenities include a boardwalk, education center and bathrooms. Food is not allowed at Blowing Rocks Preserve so please plan accordingly. There is a public park, Coral Cove Park, about 1 mile south of the Preserve where you can eat lunch after class if you like. You may bring water bottles in order to stay hydrated.

 

Class Activity

Rocky Shore Beach Walk: Students will be led on a guided tour of Blowing Rocks Preserve, one of the few natural rocky shores found in South Florida.

Appropriate Attire: Students must wear beach appropriate attire. Close-toed shoes or water shoes are highly recommended as portions of the rocks can be sharp and dangerous to bare feet.
