Class Topic

This month we will be discussing crustaceans. We will spend the morning discussing the topic and reviewing the homework assignment. Students must bring their notes from their completed homework assignment with them to class so that they can participate in the class discussion.

Water or Beach Activity

Students will be led on a wading tour of Whiskey Creek where students will participate in a FDEP-permitted scientific study. Students will be provided with nets, sampling bins and other necessary materials to capture and view marine life and record data as necessary for the permit requirements.

Appropriate Attire: Students should come prepared to get wet! Students should wear beach-appropriate clothing and close-toed water shoes. (We will be wading through muddy areas where flip-flops or sandals can easily be sucked off their feet.)
