BIBLICALLY-BASED EVENT
ONE-TIME EVENT
What to Expect: After a brief introduction to shark anatomy and helpful tips for finding shark teeth, participants will have the chance to search for their own treasures along the beach. The site is a favorite among shark tooth enthusiasts and offers an ideal spot to practice searching techniques. Each participant will receive a bucket, sand sifter, and shark tooth identification guide to use during the activity. This event will have a maximum of 12 students.
Who Can Attend: Children 4 years old and older. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent. All children attending this event must be registered students. Siblings of any age, including infants, littles or older siblings, may not accompany registered students.
What to Bring: Participants should wear beach attire appropriate for the South Florida sun and bring a filled water bottle. We also recommend bringing a small bag to take home any shark teeth or other exciting discoveries your student finds on the beach.
Where to Meet: Participants will meet at Loggerhead Park (14200 U.S. Hwy 1, Juno Beach, FL 33408), directly behind Loggerhead Marinelife Center. We will meet at one of the covered pavilions located next to the bathroom and playground area.
Cost: $45 per student
Expenses: None.
Saltwater Studies’ biblically-based events include a discussion on both biological information as well as how we can see the character of God in Creation. Secular events include a neutral presentation that focuses on biological information only.
