BIBLICALLY-BASED EVENT
ONE-TIME EVENT
What to Expect: Join this engaging field trip to sharpen critical thinking skills and view the greenery around you in a new way! After a marine biologist provides a brief biblically-based introduction to plant structures and adaptations, participants will be led on a search for differing plant species to observe. They will use field guides, microscopes and various qualitative, quantitative and artistic methods to record and compare characteristics of different species. Each participant will be provided with all necessary materials. This event will have a maximum of 12 students.
Who Can Attend: Children 8 years old and older. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent. All children attending this event must be registered students. Siblings of any age, including infants, littles or older siblings, may not accompany registered students.
What to Bring: Participants should wear beach attire appropriate for the South Florida sun and bring a filled water bottle.
Where to Meet: Participants will meet at Ocean Reef Park (3860 N Ocean Dr, Riviera Beach, FL 33404) on Singer Island. We will meet at the picnic table near the bathrooms.
Cost: $60 per student
Expenses: None.
Saltwater Studies’ biblically-based events include a discussion on both biological information as well as how we can see the character of God in Creation. Secular events include a neutral presentation that focuses on biological information only.
