Meeting Location

Boynton Beach Inlet Park, 6990 N Ocean Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33435
Upon entering the park, turn left. We will be meeting at one of the covered pavilions.

Class Topic & Activity

Students will learn about various animals that inhabit the footers of the fishing pier at Boynton Beach Inlet. Species discussed will include crabs, birds and fish. The day’s activity will include using nets and buckets to collect various marine life on the pier’s footers.

Appropriate Attire

Please come prepared to get wet! Have your child wear his or her swimsuit, beach-appropriate clothing, water shoes and bring a filled water bottle.

Recommended “Go” Bag

This class series is an adventure in exploration! While we have an outline and plan for our school year, activities might change depending on conditions on the day of our class. We encourage you to create a Saltwater Studies “Go” Bag for your student and bring it with you to each class to ensure that you are prepared for whatever the day brings. We recommend your bag include:

• Swimsuit

• Beach appropriate attire

• Towel

• Change of clothes

• Close-toed water shoes

• Mask & Snorkel

• Mesh Collection Bag

• Filled Water Bottle

• Sunscreen

• Sun Hat
