Florida’s Marine Life Class Series

Tuesday Mornings @ Dubois Park, Jupiter
Biblically-Based

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Due to the severe weather predicted for today, April’s class has been rescheduled for May 19th. This means there will be two classes during the month of May: our regularly scheduled class on May 5th and the make up class on May 19th. The May 19th date was selected based on the tide schedule and unfortunately conflicts with Cara’s existing teaching schedule. As a result, the May 19th class will be taught by Christa Jewett. We look forward to seeing you next month!

Meeting Location

Dubois Park, 19075 Dubois Rd, Jupiter, FL 33477
We will meet at a picnic table behind the bathroom building next to the lifeguard stand, weather permitting.

Parents: The picnic table only has sufficient number of seats to accommodate the students. Please bring your own beach chair or blanket if you would like to sit near the class.

Entrance Fee: None

Class Topic & Learning Activity

This month we will be going snorkeling. Students will be provided with a basic overview of snorkeling equipment and safety before being led on a tour of the shallow waters near the park. This is a great opportunity for students to spot some of the marine life that was discussed during the year.

Water or Beach Activity

For this month, the water activity is snorkeling!

Appropriate Attire: Please remember that both parents and children must be prepared to be in the water. Students should bring their own mask and snorkel. Please also have your child wear a swimsuit, beach-appropriate clothing, water shoes and bring a filled water bottle.

Please make sure that your child wears the appropriate clothing for our class. If your child does not have the appropriate attire (i.e. swimming suit, water shoes or snorkel gear) to complete the planned activity, unfortunately he or she will not be able to participate.
