Class Topic & Learning Activity
This month we will be discussing sharks. Class discussion will review sharks, myths and conservation efforts while incorporating visual aids and specimens. For the learning activity students will learn to identify species of sharks based on tooth shape.
Water or Beach Activity
The beach activity includes beach combing where students will use sifters to search for marine life in the sand.
Appropriate Attire: It is always recommended that you come to class prepared to get wet. Have your child wear his or her swimsuit, beach-appropriate clothing, water shoes and bring a filled water bottle.
Please make sure that your child wears the appropriate clothing for our class. If your child does not have the appropriate attire (i.e. swimming suit, water shoes or snorkel gear) to complete the planned activity, unfortunately he or she will not be able to participate.
