Beach Clean-Up

  • Mizell-Johnson State Park (map)

Participants will be led in a clean-up of the John U. Lloyd Park beach. This is an excellent opportunity for participants to practice biblically appropriate environmental stewardship and qualify for service hours. Trash bags will be provided. It is recommended that you bring your own gardening gloves. The park entrance fee is waived for all beach clean-up participants. Participants are welcome to bring lunch and enjoy the beach following the beach clean-up. All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent. Participants will meet at the far north parking lot adjacent to the jetty in Mizell-Johnson State Park (formerly John U. Lloyd Beach State Park) in Dania Beach, Florida (6503 N. Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, Florida 33004). Participants must bring their own water and snacks.

Please note that as a volunteer working in a Florida State Park, the state may have photographs or videos taken and the materials may be used to promote Florida State Parks. No releases will be requested or required.
