Join Saltwater Studies for a fun, interactive, biblically-based day at the beach in Naples, Florida! Our activities for the day will include a shark dissection laboratory in the morning and a beach walk in the afternoon following lunch. For the shark dissection students will work in groups of three to four to dissect a single shark.
Location: Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, 11135 Gulf Shore Drive, Naples 34108
Cost: $60 per student with a 20% sibling discount*
*Fee includes instruction, shark dissection and class materials. The park also charges an entrance fee of $8 per vehicle which will be paid directly to the park on the day of the event.
Age Range: Students must be 8 years or older in order to participate in the shark dissection by themselves. Students who are 5 to 7 years old may participate if supervised and assisted by a parent.
Class discussion will include both biological and biblically-based information. All information will be presented using a literal interpretation of Scripture.
Students must bring their own lunch, drinks and snacks.
Students should wear beach appropriate clothing and be prepared to spend the day in the Florida sun.
Each student must have a completed liability waiver and permission slip in order to participate in the event.
This event will have a maximum of 15 students. Registration is available on a first-come/first-served basis.
